Bruce / Jay and Kim provided another great adventure aboard the Southern Hospitality – Around the North Shore, Tortola West End, scenic tour of Tortola, lunch at Marina Cay then a hop for snorkeling at Salt Island, Wreck of the Rhone, and Peter Island and then back to Cruz Bay – A wonderful crew, great destinations, a fantastic boat! Thank you for a yet another Great Day in the islands … will be back!

We had a great day with Bruce and Jay aboard the Southern Hospitality last week. Although the weather was a little rough, the boat easily and comfortably made the trip to Virgin Gorda. The radar on the boat allowed us to chase the sunshine for the rest of the trip. We were made very comfortable and safe and both were great with our kids (8 and 11). It was the perfect way to end our too short of time in St John and will definitely be calling back on our next trip to St John.

There is only one way to describe Brucey and his crew, The Best!!! The day we spent aboard the Southern Hospitality was amazing! From the get go we were treated like old friends with Bruce right in the action, never missing a beat, like we had all known each other for years. We spent the day island hopping the BVIs, having lunch at Willy Ts, taking in beautiful beaches and having the time of our lives aboard this beautiful 46” Sea Ray. We are excited to see Bruce again on our next trip! No visit to St. John is complete without a charter on Southern Hospitality!

Where do I begin? We just returned from a great week in St John. The highlight started with a full day charter with Bruce and Kate on a gorgeous Sea Ray! The day was spent sipping mimosas and traveling to the Baths, Scrub Island and Jost..each stop was a moment to remember! Thank you Bruce and Kate for the time of our lives! Can’t wait to do it again! So glad we chose Southern Hospitality! Bruce..I will have to live thru the web cam until next year!

We took a day trip with these great people and what a day it was. The boat is beautiful but what made the day so special was Bruce and his crew. We were treated like friends from the very beginning and were taken to some stunning places to snorkel and swim and just relax. Had a great lunch at Willy T’s and the day got even better. We had such a great time, we are so looking forward to going back. We are already planning our return. If you are planning a trip to St Johns, don’t miss the Southern Hospitality!!!

Our day with Captain Bruce and Thomas was by far the highlight of our trip to St John. It was our 3rd time visiting the island and our first chartering a boat in St John. We were not disappointed. Bruce and Thomas were accommodating and the boat was stunning. They planned the perfect day catering to our needs. Even when lunch service was slow Bruce took charge at the restaurant and got us served. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would use them again in a heartbeat. Southern Hospitality is a stunning boat led by a gracious captain. You will talk about your excursion for days afterwards.

I can’t say enough about Southern Hospitality Boat Charter. We had a truly exceptional experience with Bruce, our captain and tour guide. The beautiful boat is in mint condition. It is clear that he takes exceptional care of it. He took us snorkeling and showed us around the island. He has so many offerings that would fit everyone’s needs. We plan on bringing friends back on another trip … Bruce will be our first call when we arrive!

This review is a few months old, but nonetheless, this was the highlight of our famliy trip to USVI. The boat is extremely spacious, clean and fun to sit back with a few cold one’s and the family to explore the stunning waters of the USVI. Bruce was a terrific host and made our family extremely welcome aboard. If you have younger children and have never snorkled, this is the only way to do it! Our kids talk about this trip all the time. We look forward to getting on board again on our next visit. Thanks Bruce and crew.

My boyfriend and I spent the afternoon on Southern Hospitality with Capt’n Bruce and First Mate Kate. They were awesome! The boat is gorgeous and we went from St John over to Jost Van Dyke to explore Soggy Dollar, Foxy’s, Foxy’s Taboo and White Bay… all was AWESOME. There’s something special about taking a boat to a tiny island covered in white sand and hammocks and just hangin’ out and having a drink. The ocean was a beautiful blue and on the way back to St John, my boyfriend and I were out on the “sun deck” on the front of the ship to enjoy the spray from the water. Bruce could not have been a nicer, more accomodating host and captain, and Kate was so easygoing and sweet. They were terrific and made our day great. We can’t wait to get back on Southern Hospitality… highly highly recommended.

Our time on the Southern Hospitality was amazing. It was both relaxing and exciting. The food was amazing and the crew could not have been more accommodating. The captain took us to the Soggy Dollar, which was amazing! My grandparents were with us and he made arrangements for them to be picked up, along with one of his crew members, and brought them to the Soggy Dollar. The rest of us swam in, hence the “soggy dollar”.
We are planning to head back for February Break and have already scheduled another boat charter with Southern Hospitality. The cost is reasonable and more reasonable if split between friends or family. Worth making this part of your time in the USVI.

We travelled to St John for a week in May and chartered Southern Hospitality for two of the days ~ what a beautiful boat! We were a group of 6 and there was plenty of room! Bruce was an excellent Captain and explained our destination options for the day.
On the first day, we had a beautiful ride over to the BVI and made a stop at Jost Van Dyke to go to Foxy’s. The next stop was at The Soggy Dollar, where we anchored just off the beach ~ it was awesome to be on the shore sipping a Painkiller looking out at the Southern Hospitality sitting in the amazing turquoise water! The final stop of the day was at Willie T’s near Norman Island – this is an old pirate ship/floating bar with all kinds of interesting stuff happening! We sailed back to St John and were treated to a beautiful sunset just as we were anchoring.

For the second day, we opted to stay closer to St John and enjoy spending more time on the boat. We anchored in a few different bays where we swam, snorkeled (saw lots of turtles!) and took advantage of the huge sunbed on the front of the boat. A truly relaxing day!

We would highly recommend spending a day with Bruce on the Southern Hospitality ~ it was the highlight of our trip!

We had a terrific week in St. John in early February, 2013 with a group of 8. We explored many amazing experiences on St. John, but our Charter with Captain Bruce on the Southern Hospitality was probably the highlight of our week. The boat is very comfortable and up to date, and on our tour to Virgin Gorda and a few snorkel sites along the way we had a perfect day. Capt. Bruce discussed the options we had and made sure that out day fit our ambitions. We had a great experience, and visited some amazing snorkel areas. We highly recommend Southern Hospitality Boat Charter, and look forward to the next time we sail with them.

If traveling to St John, a day trip on Southern Hospitality is a must do! We were a group of four looking for a boat charter, but really wanted something private with more freedom to choose what we wanted, as opposed to one of the larger catamaran day trips where you are stuck to their itinerary. Southern Hospitality exceeded our expectations and really provided us with our best day in St John (one of our best days in all of our Caribbean travels for that matter)! Bruce was so accommodating and knowledgeable and helped us plan the most perfect day. A stop at Sandy Spit to swim ashore and have a Corona on an island where some of the commercials were filmed, to lunch and cocktails on Jost Van Dyke. Cruising through the VIs with a glass of Prosecco on the Southern Hospitality is purely Heaven on Earth! If and when we return to St John, immediately after flights are booked, so will our day trip on Southern Hospitality!
